Cotta & Terra was born with the desire to promote a lifestyle dedicated to wholesome and positive design thinking and manifestation in Home Decor and Room Design, Furniture and Modern aesthetics.
Cotta & Terra is a name derived from the beautiful rich clay that is used for pottery – Terra-cotta.
Clay in its truest essence is sustainable, being the material used from the beginning of Human society. Its mold-able and workable nature that easily takes to the desired form of its creator. When stripped down it is flexible and sustainable.
At Cotta & Terra we too find beauty in the raw and in the stripping down of materials. Working with raw beauty and admiring materials for how they are naturally. We have chosen to celebrate raw and natural materials and to use creativity, art and sustainability to fill homes with decor and art. Every home needs rawness and beauty to make a home, homely

Our Founder
Simone Blackman launched Cotta & Terra at the beginning of 2020 with the vision to merge creativity and sustainable design, for all lifestyles and living spaces.
Simone studied at Vega School in Durban (South Africa), completing her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Higher Certificate in Architecture. She has a passion for authenticity and elegant design.
